A new study shows acupuncture effective for neuropathy

Ting Bao, MD, an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland indicated that a recently conducted study shows acupuncture is effective for reducing the symptoms of neuropathy. The results were obtained from a group of multiple myeloma patients with bortezomib-induced peripheral neuropathy [BIPN]. O.K. Stop the presses. ABC has recently come to the conclusion that “Acupuncture May Actually Work for Pain After all”. Well, I for one am glad to know that generations of Chinese physicians have not been wasting their time for 5,000 years! What a jaw dropper! In all seriousness, these are the type of begrudging acknowledgements we can expect to receive from mainstream medicine for awhile – until the glass ceiling breaks – until it is a well accepted fact across the board that acupuncture is one of the best natural treatments for many types of physical ailments including most types of pain.
